Re: [FWDLK] Battery Charger

For anyone who needs a good source to power a car radio, scavenge an
"XT" or "AT" power supply from an OLD computer (pre 1997 or so). If
it's marked "ATX", you probably won't be able to get the power supply to
turn on without being attached to the motherboard. The power supplies
in these old computers usually had the on/off switch directly on them,
and they provide up to 10 amps of very well regulated DC +12V (and +5V)
power.

Subject: [FWDLK] Battery Charger

All -

I just purchased a ctek 12v battery charger. Could I use this device as
a
power source for a 12V car radio, or would I need a power inverter to
accomplish this ?

Ron
