All true. That's why the disclaimer. 
However, he may be able to make it up in 6 volt if the general wiring is the same. 
In any event he's a good guy, a 300 Club member and does great work from all I've heard. Still a noteworthy addition to your vender database.

Huge difference, '55 is six volt, must have heavier wire, rookie move to think less voltage requires lighter wires.  That plus the '57-'59 was a different body style, so it wouldn't have the same things in the same places.
 
Fortunately haven't had to replace a harness.  Isn't there a place in Rhode Island that makes them to order?
