Re: [FWDLK] Leaf Springs eternal...

Thanks, Phillippe; from the Parts Book, I had already seen that the 1958
Heavy Duty main leaf springs on the Dodges & on the CHY/IMP carried the
same P/N, but, there are P/N differences in 1957 between the HD Dodge &
the 300C and the Imps, so I coudn't draw a concrete conclusion that the
main leafs were the same length, or not, on the Dodge/Ply models.

A question came up as to whether the 57 Dodge D501 carried the HD Dodge
leaf springs or the 300 or the IMP 7-leaf springs--the Parts book,
interestingly, doesn't show P/N's for complete spring-assemblies; only
for the individual leafs-components.

Hi,
I made a page on my site about '57 & 58 (Chrysler & Desoto Firedome, Fireflite) Imperial springs  : http://www.ch300imp.com/rear_spring.htm
You'll note that '58 are longer by 2" .
