Re: [FWDLK] Rebuilding an Oil Pump

Ron,
Be sure the BP Blaster didn't ruin the "O" rings. I had sprayed this stuff on a defrost time clock motor to free the motor up and it got on the plastic of the time clock and it dissinigrated the plastic.

Subject: [FWDLK] Rebuilding an Oil Pump

Hey Gang -

I disassembled the oil pump from my 59 Dodge 326 V8. Initially it was frozen
and wouldn't turn. But soaking in PB Blaster for a few minutes freed
everything up and it spins fine now. What I did notice was that the two
rubber O-rings inside were brittle and fell apart when I tried to remove
them.

Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit ? The oil pump is part no.
1618949.

Thanks,

Ron
