[FWDLK] Poly 277 rocker shafts

I was putting valve stem seals in the used 277 I'm putting in my car and find the rocker shafts are all full of crud/sludge on the inside. There's a plug in the each end keeping me from cleaning them out.

Can I get replacement plugs and pull these out to clean it all out?

 

What's the best way to clean them, a brush and bucket of kerosene?
