Cranks from the iron Torqueflite era should have a different flange distance than later cranks.

The minimum supported wall thickness is 0.080" but thicker is better and that figure also depends on the output. Also wether or not it will be higher combustion temperature (turbo/super charged applications). 413/440 cranks are interchangable too.

Can always take it to a good shop and have the cylinder walls sonic tested for thickness.  I think I have read that .200" is a good figure not to go below.  Also may run into ring seal problems if the walls are too thin.
