Re: [FWDLK] Stress concentration location

Chrysler sells ( or did 10 years ago ) a special tool for removing torsion bars. It comes in two sizes for standard and heavy duty bar diameters.  It is a clamping device comprised of two large blocks of steel that you clamp to the bar. It has a handle on it so you grab onto the handle after securing and hit it with a hammer to remove the bar out through the rear anchor.  Of course not all bars come out easy. I have had some so rusted in that I had to cut the anchor and replace it.
