Re: [FWDLK] POWER WINDOW SEQUENCE??

HI RON
I dont mean to get silly
but...........................
If you are looking at the back of the switch..
Basically you are then looking from the OUTSIDE of the car

Front is still front--rear is still rear

hence, the front buttons still operate the rear windows

The switch closest to the driver operates the window closest to the driver, ie., the Left Front window. On Page 429 of the 57/8 shop manual it shows the configuration. BUT in the illustration, you are looking at the BACK OF THE SWITCH. So when you flip it around, all is correct.

Hello Members

All responses indicate that front switches activate the front windows!!
MAKES SENSE!!

I have a 58 that COULD BE a virgin as far as door panels and associated hardware and 'switches' It struck me funny that the FRONT switches activated the REAR windows!!

THEN--I checked the infamous MOPAR BIBLE
the 57/58 PLYMOUTH SERVICE MANUAL
On page 429 is a wire diagram of POWER WINDOWS
UREAKA--Front switches activate rear windows.

ANY EXPLANATIONS???

Are most restorations re wired to 'make sense"???
