Re: [FWDLK] Fins and Irene

Hi John & all,

I live in Branford Connecticut near the shore and we lost power for a few days and some large trees fell in the yard but the house and DeSoto are OK. Thanks for asking. Right on the shore some homes and roads washed away and the state will not have 100% power back for another week. Some roads are still blocked by trees and powerlines but they are doing there best to clear them. The last big hurricane was in the 1985 so we have been lucky.Connecticut is a beautiful state but we get bad weather now and again. Hope all others are safe in Forwardlook land.

Rich

Hi all,
I was just thinking of all of the people affected by Irene.   Hope is all well with you and yours.   And, I hope if you were in the stormy and flooded areas, you were able to save your irreplaceable items.
Anyone hear from those along the coast affected by Irene?
A tornado ripped through a 7 mile path a couple of miles NE of our place...that was one wicked looking storm as we were surrounded by storms but actually were in a sunny gap within the storms.
Almost no rain or wind here, but total destruction of many barns, homes and other buildings.
Anyhow, hope all is well with you all, your families and of course your finsters!

John in WI...will be hot and humid here today...looking forward to fall and calmer weather and cooler temps
