Re: [FWDLK] Multi-meter Purchase

Hi Ron,

I prefer the analog over digital. When you are looking at little blips such as momentary contact switch or points opening and closing the digital does not act fast enough to see. The analog meters are getting hard to find. If you want to measure the difference between 12.5 volts & 12.6 volts the go digital. For most automotive work a $ 10.00 to $ 20.00 unit will work great.

Just my 2 cents worth,

Mike

Hi Gang -

I have a gift card from Radio Shack that I want to use to purchase a Multi-meter. I'm looking for a nice basic one that I can use for my vintage car projects. Can anyone recommend one ? I'd prefer digital over analog. Also, are the Radio Shack ones any good, or should I look elsewhere, like Sears/Craftsman ?

Ron
