Re: [FWDLK] The Real Idiots in the Old Car Arena

I have to share this one.

Some years ago I drove our Tango Red Chrysler C300 to a Mopar Swap meet in the San Fernando Valley.  I purchased some items and went back to the car to put them in the trunk.

A fellow approached me as I put the key in the trunk lock and said "is this your car"?  Being a smart ass I wanted to say, "no, I'm just in the process of stealing it" but thought better and just answered "yes".

The next statement from this guy was "why did you ruin it"?  I looked at him rather puzzled and said "what do you mean"?  He came back with "everyone knows they only made these 300s in white".

I had plenty of documentation in the trunk to prove the guy wrong right there on the spot but instead I looked at him, closed the trunk and walked away.  The world is full of Einstein's............

Talk about idiots.....

Conversation at Local Parts Store between me and whiz kid 18 year-old behind the counter.....

Me: "What have you got in the way of a voltage regulator for a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker?"

Whiz Kid (after tapping on computer keyboard): "Chryslers were not made in 1955."

Me: "Well, what gave you that idea?"

Whiz Kid: "Computer says there is no entry for Chrysler for that year."

Me: "So what is that car that I drove into the parking lot?"

Whiz Kid: "Beats me, but it can't be a 1955 Chrysler."
