Re: [FWDLK] Type A Automatic Trans Fluid-'55 Plymouth

I have used Amsoil atf with all my cars and have never been let down, I think it has a real advantage in the early air cooled trannies…..

Making good progress on the ‘55 Savoy. Since I signed on to the list a couple of months back I’ve rebuilt the hydraulics, sandblasted and painted wheels, replaced tires, restored the trunk area, replaced shocks, and quite a laundry list of other tasks.

I’m ready to service the transmission and the specified Type A ATF, of course, is not available on local shelves although it is available online (rather cheaply it seems). Are most of you running something other than Type A? I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

David
