Thanks for the advice. The trans is a Powerflite with 60K on it. It has been behaving itself, but I’m sure it’s been eons since the fluid was changed, if ever.

Type A when available, personally prefer type F, and generic ATF is fine as well. If your powerflite or iron TF is rebuilt, the modern clutches are fine with any fluid exc merc/dexIIII or newer spec fluid
