Re: [FWDLK] 56 DODGE CONVERTIBLE

Title: Blank
Roger, you make some good points but I doubt the frame is at all solid.  Looks as if it's been on the ground so guessing the rear part of the frame is very rusty.  But, we welded on a solid frame part from the high part of the rear wheels to the bumpers for one of our restorations so the Dodge is probably quite doable.  I'm guessing $60,000 might get a very good restoration, could be higher.  Would the car bring $100k when done??  Iffy, in my opinion, but I love 55 and 56 Dodge/Plymouth convertibles.  Gonna pass, however.

A rare car.  Try to find one any more that isn’t already restored.  Desert Valley in AZ has a ‘56 Plymouth convertible in much worse shape and they want $11,000.  If all the convertible only parts are there and if the frame is in good shape it’s a good project.  Yeah, lots of “ifs.”

Moving the decimal point one place left might be in order.

Found this on another site, not mine (I'd taken better care of it if it was...)
