My local prices are $100. per ton for tin, long iron (frames rails), car bodies.
$ 140.00 ton for short iron (scrap metal)

Your 700 #'s  of scrap would have brought $49.00 or so.

Last car I scrapped I got $160.00 a ton, but I waited 2 days too long and the price had dropped from $195.00
