Re: [FWDLK] Disc brake conversion 1960 DeSoto

Try '68 Roadrunner, disc/drum. There is a tall version and a low version. The low version may do the trick.

It looks like this, though the cover design may also be a two-hump version.

I am going to buy the caliper brackets, bearing spacers, and hoses from AAJ Brakes to convert my 60 Desoto to front disc brakes. I,ve done this in 2005 on my 58 Plym. They work well.

I used a P/B booster that has the vertical offset bracket from a A-body.  But I would like to use a booster that mounted directly to the fire wall so the master cylinder and booster assembly will not stick out so far from the fire wall.

The Desoto does not have P/B now. The M/C mounts on 4 studs that come out from the fire wall. I would like a booster that could mount directly to those 4 studs with a
Chrysler duel pot disc brake m/c that mounts to the front of the booster. I think a 9 inch booster will not interfere with the Rocker arm covers.

The booster unit on a 63=64 Chrysler products just might do it.

Any ideas and comments will be appreciated
