Maybe, but "leaks fixed" aside, it's a little naive to think these engines don't seem to collect dirt. And what do we do as collectors? We wash and clean. Rinse and repeat. Thus the water concerns. Maybe a simple wipe down instead? yes but I challenge anyone
to show me a perfectly clean engine that somehow completely avoids dirt, road grime, and dust being ingested by the fan and the the front suspension and then blasted across and under that intake. Heck the AFB's themselves " condense" brownish fuel vapors all
over them after a run down the road, and require cleaning with carb spray. It doesn't help the intake gasket pan is actually bowl shaped either, like an ash tray for engine grime. It's an inevitable event and requires periodic PM and cleaning to minimize.
That said, if one MUST HAVE that complete folly of a design added for show and such, then yes heavy duty tin foil and some rockwool would do the trick. Avoid fiberglass as it can actually degrade. Rockwool is literally a mineral fiber, is denser and is completely
fireproof. Plus it would then insulate much better as well from sound (and perhaps some heat).
Be sure and "precrinkle" it all up too, never seen one that looks nice so maybe I am biased...lol!

I've used tin foil and fiberglass insulation in the past, and they held up fine. If they are collecting oil, dirt and water, maybe the leaks should be fixed. They are being reproduced now, although they repeat much of the
same miss-information.
https://www.performancecargraphics.com/Manifold_Insulation.htm The
intake should actually run cooler without it. There is a reason why there are air gap manifolds for lesser cars. The small block Mopar's intake sits right on top of the lifter valley. I think they have a plate fastened to the manifold to keep direct oil splash
off.

That is a much thicker gage of foil they used and yes all they do is collect grime, oil and dirt and water. Would be pretty hard to reproduce without the correct foil and proper dense mineral wool fiber deadening, I'm thinking and to what benefit? I've seen
those actually rot through a bathtub intake gasket which is bad news, so I always discard those anytime I crack an engine open or pull an intake. Just my two cents...
