I would swap the compressors, changing the seal can be a real pain, if you 
handle that new seal  incorrectly with your bare hands it can leak. If you 
change over to R134 you need to have the compressor off so you can be sure 
to drain out all the old type oil first. The receiver dryer should be 
changed to the type, compatible with R134. The hoses should ok for use, it 
might be a good idea to replace the o-rings in the connections with the 
(R134 compatible) newer type.
