Hi Ken and All:
The 300H convertible was available with either a black or white top. I don't
have any particular opinion on which "looks" best on a black car, although
Chrysler maintained the monotone philosophy on the hardtop 300s. I can,
however, tell you how to determine which color top your car originally came with. On
the code plate there will be either a 6 or a 7 following the BB for paint
color. A 6 means a black top and a 7 means it originally had a white top. In
all cases, the tops were vinyl. This code plate top color identification was
apparently only done in 1962, as far as I can determine.
For Bob J's question, the 300G was also only available with a choice of black
and white convertible tops.
Hope this is of help. 300ly, Gil C.
