Hi Group,
     I had the same problem with one of my Fs.  Check the resistance of the replacement T sender.  Although many can look the same and have the correct threads, I found that the resistance can vary markedly even though they are supposed to be "replacement" parts.  If the resistance difers significantly from original specifications, the T reading at the gauge will be noticeably incorrect.

Al,

I ran into the same thing with the temp sender on my C. I went through 2 senders and a gauge before I figured it out. I found the right one at Chrysler Carlisle.
It's not critical that it be a Mopar brand part, new old replacement stock (NORS) is fine. They seem to run about $10-15.
Not sure how your sender is broken but the replacement sender matched up in all dimensions (not just thread size) exactly with my old one.
Club member Gary Nelson used to sell them. I hear he may be busy and hard to get a hold of.
