Re: [Chrysler300] G seat belts

Hi Brandt and All:
The Chrysler dealer authorized and installed seatbelts were all certainly
black. Whether or not some aftermarket manufacturer made colored belts as
early as 1961, I do not know. For the purposes of concours, we do not judge seat
belts on authenticity before 1962. Condition issues only are evaluated. In
thinking about it, though, perhaps we should dock a point or two for
blatently non-available aftermarket features such as push-button releases. Hhhhmmmm.
Hope this helps clarify your questions.
300ly, Gil Cunningham

Hello everyone! I know this subject hasn't been talked about for 4 to 5 days
now but I've tried to put this on the list server through a reply but it
didn't go through so I hope it does this time. Anyway, I obtained seat belts for
my G about six months ago from a company called 'The Paddock'. Now these
belts are tan like the seats. Wasn't tan a possible color for belts in '61!? I
know that these would have been dealer installed until '62 when they were a
factory option. At Tahoe during concours judging, I was only docked 1 point out
of a possible 5 for seat belts (don't want to get anyone in trouble here).
On another note, I'll miss you all at Lawton, Oklahoma but I'll be there in
spirit!!
Sincerely & 300ly, Brandt H. J. w/ a soon freshly painted and rechromed G!
