[Chrysler300] Lawton Meet Potpourri

Hello 300'ly toall!
An update on the Lawton Meet:
-The Lawton/Ft. Sill Chamber of Commerce donated a large sum of money to help with the meeting funding and will provide free press releases the week of the meet
            - Four other sources close to my restoration of my C in Lawton have come forward with cash contributions also
-There will be a superb body shop available (Pamplin's), who did a majority of the restoration work on my C, during the meet for sand painting any of the 'Brutes prior to concours or the car show. Bring your own paint.
-Should anyone have the propensity to do "burn-outs" and get strange transmission functions (aka "Reihling in the parking lot"), Allied transmissions in Lawton will give priority to any club member needing transmission work, tools, etc. Ray Brown, the proprietor is very knowledgeable regarding TFs.
-Dan Crawford's AutoPlex will be available for any mechanical/electrical work needed. He performed my rewiring and many mechanical projects on my C.
-All these businesses are within 2 miles of the meet hotel and will give first priority to any club member needing assistance. (that is if we can't do the repairs in the parking lot)
-Any club member attending the meet who wishes to sell/swap parts will be able to do this in the parking lot or if they prefer a table in the hospitality suite, please notify me prior to arrival so that I can arrange a table in the hospitality suite.
-Put on your thinking caps for LETTER CAR JEOPARDY trivia game on Thursday evening of the meet. There will be three rounds with swell prizes for contestants and a spectacular grand prize for the highest point earner. This will include of course all categories of 300s featured in our club, interesting club personae facts, a bit of club history, and a little bit of "Stump the Professors" (letter year consultants). There will be a library table in the hospitality suite for those so inclined to bone up on letter car trivia.
-I have been planning this meeting since returning from our first 300 Intnl. Club Meet in Dayton in Sept., 2003. I hope that a little facet of interest will be incorporated from what I observed at the past 6 meets Marnie & I have had the privilege to attend.
-22 rooms have been reserved to date. The room cut-off date is September 6th to receive the club rate of $74 per night which includes breakfast.
-T-Shirts & Sweatshirts will be available commemorating the meet per the apparel committee
            - Please take the time as soon as possible to reserve your room and register so that I can order all the neat meet stuff well in advance for your meet packets. SO YOU ALL COME TO LAWTON, WE HAVE A LOT OF FUN AND SURPRISES IN STORE, NOT ONLY IN OUR SOUTHWESTERN BEAUTY BUT IN THE MEETING CONTENT AND CHARMING PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE WELCOMING US WITH OPEN ARMS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.
