[Chrysler300] Curious about something regarding the dual carburetion????

Hi Everyone Out There in 300 Land:

Curious about something regarding the dual carburetion in the 300.

Have a 59 - she's nice, but I live in Miami and rarely have the opportunity
to get the car going faster than say 50 mph or so because of traffic. Stay
off the expressways as there are too many crazies down here. Anyway, I heard
that if you never engage the front 4bbl carb, it can gum up. I had both
rebuilt a few years ago and they work fine. But I was wondering, would it hurt
the engine or the carbs if you Gerry rigged the carbs such that they both
engage when you accelerate? This would be easy enough just playing with the
linkage. I can't think why there would be a problem as long as you don't step
on it in traffic!! Curious.
