Re: [Chrysler300] Charging System Problem

Generator output is regulated by the voltage regulator so voltage at the battery terminals is important. Tested, known good meter, 14.6V is acceptable. Could be higher when engine is cold and should come down to 13.7V or there abouts when engine and all up to temp. Engine 1500 rpm approx free run constant speed for at least 2 min. testing, lights and blower on. Voltage above 15V, definately don't turn lights on.

Bearing book says rear bearing is a 6203-J. Probably your noise. Front bearing should be either a 6203-J or a 6204-J. Best suggestion always from experience is to repair good parts that you have rather than replacing with rebuilts. So, suggest back to rebuilder for new bearings and maybe dress up commutator and new brushes.
