Another possibility, I was reading the Brute Force Magazine tonight, 
and they indicated that 1965 Chrysler models have a fusible link 
between the battery terminal of the starter relay and the ammeter 
connection and a second fusible link between the starter relay and 
the horn relay.  Don't know if earlier cars were the same, but you 
might want to check the fusible link if there is one.
