Taken from a "Ditzler" automotive finishes color chart for 1965 Chrysler and Imperial, with a PPG symbol on the top:
Exterior striping Color for Dark Red is #71424.
Hope this might help finding the color you need.

  Anyone have a paint number for Krylon, Dupli Color or some other brand for 
  the red strip inset on the beltline chrome on a 300L? Anyone have a clever 
  way to paint the stripe that leaves a neat edge. I will prime with self 
  etching primer before painting the red.
