Is the Type F the fluid of choice for the Powerflite transmission as well?

Thanks,

Question - does the advice concerning the F type fluid apply only to the
cast iron transmissions, or to the aluminum versions as well?

Hello again to all!

Well, I told Doug (the local guy and nice guy as well...don't get me
wrong),
about Type F fluid and he says no way! No offense to Doug but (without
letting
him know), I'll choose the clubs suggestion and not his Dextron
suggestion. I'm
debating on asking him tomorrow if He'll drain Melissa out and fill her
with F
but I'll bet he'll refuse (of course maybe I shouldn't jump to
conclusions). It
looks like I'll go literally down the street (much closer) to a place
called
Vic's Garage and ask Dave if he can do it (they do a little of
everything).
Should I tell him to clean the screne (filter), or should it be replaced?
Thanks
in advance!!
