Re: [Chrysler300] 413 DISTRIBUTOR CAP

I think of you crank the motor and find #1 TDC, the rotor will be pointing
at the #1 plug wire location.

Hi George,

I ran into the same problem recently with my 62 Sport.

I have a tune up diagram that shows the distributor and where to place the
plug wires in relation to the clips.

Unfortunately, this diagram is only correct for a Chrysler built distributor
like the dual point one on my H.

The distributor on my 62 Sport is a prestolite or autolite unit and the plug
wire placement has a different relationship to the clips.

If you have the prestolite/autolite single point distributor, then the #1
plug wire is located one space clockwise from the left clip.

If you have the Chrysler dual point distributor, then the #1 plug wire is
located two spaces clockwise from the left clip.

Hope this helps,

Can anyone tell me which plug wire goes to the first postion right (CW) of
the notch of the cap? I changed caps and may have mis-aligned the wires. The
wires are in the correct sequence. Thanks in advance.
