Of course, most all of us have left hand nuts on the left side. That is the
way they were made at the factory. You need to get more familiar with your
car. You are very fortunate that some wheel jockey didn't strip your threads
using a high torque air tool. When you know about the left hand nuts, you
can let the tire place know in advance of the situation and save yourself a
lot of headaches in the future. Also, be certain that at some point someone
hasn't done a brake job on the car and put the drums on the wrong side.. I
have seen that situation numerous times too. Thankfully, your tire jock was
alert enough to note the left hand nuts.
