Re: [Chrysler300] Grommet formation

Hi All:
Just another product that has worked well on my 300F wire brackets. It is
called Plasti Dip by Performix. They call it a "multi-purpose rubber
coating". I don't know if it is really "rubber", but if they say so.... A nice
thing is they claim it is "American Made since 1972. Anyway another
source for y'all.

The product I know that Jim M. refers to is either "whip it dip it."
It is a liquid, viscous vinyl that is used in the marine industry for
sealing rope ends (whip it) or electrical wire terminals and connections (dip
it). As Jim says, a simple dunk or two into the can, or a coating using a
glue brush will set up and conform to the shape of the metal you are putting
it on. Enough coats will result in a grommet like effect that will hold the
wire without abrading it.

The product I know is from Star-Brite--Sta 84904. It should cost $9 or
$10 and will likely do a fleet of 300 spark plug wire holders. It is
available at Marine suppliers, and likely other places as well.
