A lot of truck stops have scales that will let you weigh your vehicle.  The
QT about a half mile from me will do it for free.  Others charge a couple of
dollars.  Generally if you have a nice looking car and take the time to talk
to them they just say pull it on.  Other probability's are recycle yards
because they weigh vehicles with scrap on them then reweigh empty to figure
the load.  Also the local landscaping lot has a scale, they weigh you empty
and reweigh when your loaded with rocks, dirt, mulch and so on.  Scales are
all around you, just think of a business that buys and sells by weight.  OK,
you live in the country grain silos, saw mils, farmer supply, need I go on.
