Re: [Chrysler300] 62 sport window gizmo

Also, JB Weld may be a good choice if another piece wasn't available. Be
sure to clean all parts thoroughly before using this 2-part epoxy. Also
helps to rough up the surfaces a bit.

Bill,

Finding the correct bracket is the best way to go, but I also found a
'bandaid' approach.

Take some galvanized strap that has the holes punched in it.
Just run two straps from the top bolts on the bracket to the bottom of the
motor.
It will hold the broken bracket together. I had this on my 300 for a couple
years and it worked well until I found a replacement bracket.

**There are two types of brackets and this may only work on one type

ok, so my passenger side power window goes ka-put.

i take off the door panel and the motor is laying at the bottom of the door.
OMG

upon inspection i find that the mounting bracket is broken off at the bottom
where it attaches to the motor.

kind of a pot metal type mount gizmo.

can one weld this material?

so, does anyone have any of these mounts laying in there stash?

billlllllll in sunny kennewick, washington

PS, getting pretty hot here and it would have been nice if it had broke with
the window in the down position : )
