Although the noise level from solid lifters is subjective as to how noisy they are, solid lifters are just plain noisy. To an older person such a myself, a drag-racer and performance car nut since the 50's, the clatter of solid lifters are literally music to my ears! To many (most) of my friends under the age of 60 or so, the noise is abhorrent. They wouldn't have them.

It's all in the ears of the listener, I guess...

  Any B owners look at the utube videos attached? Do the solid lifters always make that much noise? Or are these not properly adjusted?
