Re: [Chrysler300] FIRM FEEL

HI GANG. THINKING ABOUT CHANGING STERING BOX TO FIRM FEEL. ANY PROS AND CON

  Good evening,

Back in the day, I did like the 'Chrysler feel'. I have a lot of miles behind the wheel of Chryslers. The full time power steering 'feel' is a Chrysler trademark. GM's and Fords I thought drove like trucks.

Worn front end components like ball joints, tie rod ends and a loose steering gear will keep your car from tracking properly. Tires are important. Bias ply tires drive like c- - - and especially after driving a rig on radials. Alignment is important also and a little more (maybe a lot more?) positive caster than Chrysler wanted back when will help also.

Rack and pinion steering drives much better than linkage steering. Old cars are old cars but they shouldn't be dangerous. IMO.
