Well, we can probably come up with more than 12 just on the list server.
My cinnamon G convert had air - there's 1. Anyone else out there with a G
convert with air? As an aside - I had three letter car coupes and three
converts. None of the coupes had air and all of the converts did have air.
Go figure.

Steve,
OK, the ad says "less than 10% built with factory air of 120 cars
remaining". Where does this information come from? What sources? As far as I'm
concerned it is just hearsay unless or until it is verified that only 10% of
all G converts built had factory air, or a specific number of total G
convertible production with AC be confirmed. I would love to see an official
confirmation of this number, and it would have to come from Gil Cunningham, as
he is the only verifiable source on the question. Another bit of information,
that would shed light on the issue would be to know how many G converts
are in the Club registry with factory AC. Not sure if that is possible to
determine, but others may know. Gloria?

Actually I own a ’61 300 G Convertible with factory A/C. I spent a lot of
time researching this both before & after I bought the car, & the sources
indicated that 12 are known to still exist. I didn’t buy it because of the
A/C, but because I simply liked the car.

Steve, How does the seller know this? No documentation or sources
mentioned...it's a low number put out there to promote the car.

Don and all,
I agree, too little time has been spent on the details of the restoration
of this car. As mentioned, the wire wheels are simply not correct, but I
would excuse that if the car came with the original wheels and wheel
covers-which are getting increasingly hard to find. Notice that there is only one
picture of the engine compartment. Many details are not correct. No hood
pad, no trunk lid felt liner, no picture of Trim Code plate. Only 12 made with
AC? I know the numbers are low, but that sounds like a guess to me, and
not based on factual information. I researched this several years back and
was not able to come up with a definitive number. I had three G project cars,
all had factory AC, I doubt that I had 25% of G production with AC in my
back yard. The body and interior work does appear to be pretty well done
though, but the devil is in the details now isn't it?

Hi All,
While this car may be exceptionally pretty, it has a lot of incorrect
items for a car they want all the money for. Wire wheels are not and were never
optional on a G. The engine compartment is a mess of things wrong. Red
heater hoses? That shows a complete lack of research on what is correct. Hose
clamps are all worm style, blue ignition wires, and what is the green thing
by the washer bag? Two of the dash gages are also 62 style. If I had the
money to buy something this expensive, I would at least want everything to
be correct. But maybe that’s just me, maybe pretty is all that matters.
