There were a number of internal differences in the letter car transmissions. The late George Riehl wrote a nice article about the letter car transmissions many years ago in the NewsFlite. The ‘62 H transmission was p/n 2205190.

RCM – perhaps we should scan the article and create a web page for the tech dept? I have an original copy.

Hi Matt, 

There is a difference. I'm not sure what is different - guess the H 727 would be considered "heavy duty". 

My Chrysler interchange manual lists #1942275 for 62 Chrysler except 300 with 413 and #2205190 for 62 Chrysler 300 with 413. 

I don't know if "300" just meant 300H or applied to Sports with a 413's as well. 

I assume a Sport with a 383 would not have the # 2205190 torquflite .
