Ya, that's an easy fix. Take the cover off and lay it face down on the work bench. Pick up your pliers, and look at the little fingers that are supposed to grip onto the rim. There's a bunch of 'em around the perimeter of the wheel cover. Using those pliers, bend each of those fingers outward. not too far, you won't be able to get the covers back on without denting them with your mallet. There should still be a bit of an angle. I think those little fingers are in groups of four. Anyway, bend them out and then reinstall the covers. Next time you need to remove those covers, you may have to work hard to get the screwdriver between the wheel rim and the cover, but it sure beats walking along the ditches looking for the escaped wheelcover.

Anybody have a good fix for hubcaps that like to come off at inconvenient times-like when driving? I have had the problem several times now, and in all cases they were fully installed and not at all loose before the trip. Luckely I heard them depart & was able to get them back, but I can't rely on luck forever. Any ideas?
