This should be an interesting discussion - but hard to draw any conclusions without knowing more about condition of both cars.

If both in the same condition, I think the GTO wins as to value - more GM $ interest and more Intermediate $ interest and frankly the 63-64 Letter Series were not the most sought after of the 300 Letter Series.

If the 67 GTO is complete rust free and needs engine work and interior, probably not a good trade for the GTO guy. If its a rustbucket or missing parts, probably not a good deal for the K guy.

As to the K, same argument - but first make sure its a K not just a Silver Edition/Series. I thought the Silver Edition was a summer promotion applied to the non-letter series - but hopefully someone more familiar with 64s will chime in. Repainted white is a turn off to me on an original silver car. What else is not original / correct?

If the K is sound mechanically and runs while the GTO is not / does not, then it might be more interesting for the GTO guy, but still need to know more about each car to judge.

What do you guys think?  Would he be better off trading his GTO for the K?  I guessed he would be, but then I would probably trade a GTO for a simple K car, but that’s just me.

Day 2 - great cruising - cool, foggy, drizzly morning in OK. Sun finally appeared this afternoon; warmed up to 90; John's top came down. Amarillo to Alamagordo in the morning.
