Just by happenstance I had my HVAC switch on my desk. I took apart the heater/ a/c boxes ( on my G) and am waiting on some parts. The number is the same as printed on my switch, even the last three digits. By the way oldairproducts.com advertises new replacement switches for these.

Hi Christopher,

Don is right. The part number is for an A/C push button switch. They were used on Chrysler and Imperial from 59-64 on Chrysler, and Imperial 64-66 for sure, and maybe 60-63. I had a 59 Imperial, and know from that car that the switch buttons are different. If the buttons are rectangular with stainless covers and a white face, I would say they are from a 64 Imperial.

Hi Christopher,

I have no knowledge of the part number, but from your description it sounds like that is the pushbutton assembly for the heater or A/C controls. That was a common feature for the early 60's Mopars.

They complemented the transmission set of pushbuttons. Transmission buttons on the left and ventilation buttons on the right of the steering wheel. Sort of mirrored each other.

Anyone out there that can tell me what model/year this auto pushbutton assembly fits - it is vertical layout - ie all buttons are in single vertical line, and no cable down to auto trans, but instead vac lines and elec connections

Part No (in red ink) seems to be 2096084, or else it is 2098084

- there seems/is 2nd a number below that that could be 16 4, but the 1 may not be a 1

Head/face of buttons is a cream/white plastic, but no letters remain/visible on them, 5 buttons in total

Christopher in Australia - weather here ben great/cool for summer, but a hot week coming - not much 300ly happening or new 300 news that I aware of = last weeks gas prices just been an amazing low $1.00 a litre, but jumped 20c today
