[Chrysler300] 58 Torqueflight advice/help?

Help/advice needed?
A friend has a newly rebuilt 3 speed cast iron torqueflight, as used in late 50s 300s, that slips and shudders on anything above re low throttle use - sort of makes a squeeling noise too when doing that.

It has been pulled down to try to find the fault, but nothing seems wrong - he is next looking at thing called 'sprag clutch' ?!, but after he asked me, I thought is it maybe poor oil pressure?

Anyone out there in 300ly land know what they have done wrong, or what is busted/problem?

Christopher in Australia - our Annual "All Chrysler Day" here in the part where I live - great weather/show, but not many 300s there
