R414b is used for most R12 aircraft systems and most other R12 systems including vehicles.  It's operating characteristics are only slightly different from R12 and are of no consequence.  The best part is that it is requires no component or oil change and is even compatible with the Polyester oil that R134 uses.  For your F it is good to go if they did change the oil.

First, you must find the leak, which is likely anything they messed with.  There will be an oily film where the leak is so check for that at pipe connections and service fittings.  If those areas are grungy then clean then with brake cleaner, alcohol, or any such solvent.  Hopefully there is enough refrigerant in the system to run the compressor and develop an oil film at the leak site.  At a minimum, insure that all connections are tight.

At one time R414b was sold in 12 oz. cans but is now likely in 25 lb. or larger bottles.  A google search finds them at several places including eBay for $260.  I have used R414b for more than 20 years for my own R12 systems and those of customers.  It also has the advantage of producing colder air than R134 can.

It must be charged into the system as a liquid as it is a blend, not as a gas like most refrigerant's.
