Re: [Chrysler300] One of a kind 300H / 300C

Wonderful to hear that!

I do remember being impressed while talking with him as I was admiring his car. I thought he was a good guy! I enjoyed seeing his car.

Hi Michael,
The 1957 300C convertible with pink pearl paint is owned by Alfred Perish of McMinnville, Oregon. Al purchased the car when he was in the Army in the 1950's in California. It has pink upholstery and had an American flag painted on the hood. Al is a long time friend of Wayne Graefen. Al repainted the hood to match the car about 25 years ago. He is no longer a member of either Club. Several years ago, he was converting his brakes to four wheel disc. The 300 Club Inc does not list his car in its Registry of 300C Convertibles. But, Gloria has it in her records as 3N572004 (Regimental Red). I still keep in contract with AL. His business is graphic arts.

I agree John.I personally appreciate all kinds of cars, even though my personal taste runs to maintaining my cars in stock condition. That is a big enough challenge for me!
It is unfortunate that some clubs look down on non-stock cars which causes a loss of potential members. I really think most car people appreciate all cars. I remember in the 80’s being at a show in Portland where there was a C or D convertible, with cruiser fender skirts and a zoom pink pearl paint as well as different upholstery. I enjoyed looking at it. There were a lot of ugly remarks which caused the owner some unhappiness, and that was unfortunate.
