[Chrysler300] 57 - 58 300 Front bumper assembly installation

Greetings to all and happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

I have completed the assembly of my front bumper for my 58 D. The beautiful 5 piece assembly plus the two front park turn lights less the brackets weighs 65lbs. Until I weighed it I would have guessed much more.   I must say that sitting on the bench, with all in show chrome it is truly a work of metal forming art and design. Sometimes you have to look at the pieces of these Brutes off the car to truly appreciate them.

That said I am wondering if anyone has recently installed this assembly and what process they may have used. Not an issue for a driver but for freshly painted model where no paint scratches are allowed it becomes a little more of an issue.

Question----Is it best to install the front brackets to the bumper and then bring it in to the front frame mounting surface or bring it in with the brackets on the vehicle but loose? With the wings of the bumper it is a rather tight fit side to side; it is a 3 man job plus a floor jack. When I first disassembled the vehicle I planned on leaving the brackets tight to the frame but the powder coat process required taking all apart and I lost the locations.
Anyone do this and can comment.?
