I wouldn’t let one isolated eBay auction throw you. 

I probably will be listing my 300-F Convertible in the Spring. These numbers look good.

As a 300F owner I was disappointed to see this beautiful 1960 300F on eBay
reach only 34k (reserve not met - relisted). Then again, monetary value isn’t why I and most 300 owners love these cars:
