Re: [Chrysler300] Door pillar strikers

If you apply heat w/ propane torch just on the head of screw, should not burn paint. Second option: if you have access to tig welder you can weld on piece of 1/4” rod and turn with vise grips.
After you weld, cool the area with water to prevent paint burn. You only have weld 2, 1/8” bead 180 degrees apart. Gary

Removing the rear seat ¼ panel will give access to the threads on the back side of the door jamb.

Try some rust penetrant there.

Have you already screwed up the Phillips slot/s ??

If so, try center drilling the screw so the driver will sit deeper.

I probably have some used screws to replace damaged ones assuming you can get them out.

Good luck!

I would try a steel head Phillips screw driver.

Give each screw some

Heavy strikes. It will break

Rust loose from threads

May work.

Need help on the Coupe door pillar strikers.

3 Philips head screws, even an impact driver won't crack them loose.

Any experience or suggestions?

The door is adjusted for gaps.

But, it will not shut into striker by 3/16.

Thanks,

Dave
