Hey John

What’s the “Julia project”, guessing it’s about Ms. Child? No idea on this one but sounds like you’re having fun with your current show!

I've actually been 'working' with my G convertible, along with new member JohnG and his 56 Windsor, since last October on the 'Julia' project.  We worked last week and yesterday as well.  Sometimes fun, and sometimes boring/frustrating, but overall it's been interesting.  They feed us, pay us, dress us up, give us haircuts and Covid tests, and let us use our cars in a different way than just cruise nights and car shows.  I'm not sure if this is a call for more/different cars to mix things up on Julia, or if it's another series they are going to start filming.  The hours can be weird and sometimes long, but usually don't have to drive in rush hour traffic.  I've worked from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, and also from 1 pm to 7:30 pm, as well as 10 am to 8 pm (that was a long one).  Lots of snacks on set to go with the actual sit down meals if you're there a long time.  Sometimes we're driving the cars, sometimes they're just parked in the background.  Sometimes we're used as 'background actors' without our cars.
I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but got involved last October when Covid had shut down all the car activities and it was a good opportunity to do something other than going out for a ride in a big circle back to my driveway again.  Once (if) all normal old car activity resumes, I'll probably back off a bit and turn down some opportunities for the movies, but in the meantime, I'm meeting some new car guys and learning about the movie industry and being paid for it, too.

I moved to Maine 9 years ago but still get these “casting calls”. Maybe someone is interested?

Thinking of John N. and a few others and maybe some of your old car friends in the greater Boston area 😁.

Keith
