I know hindsight is usually 20/20, but I always keep a fire extinguisher in my Chryslers for just such a case... I’ve had to use one once.  Can mean the difference between minimal damage and total loss...

What is exceptionally sad is that this Madison Gray J was at one time a nicely restored car.  It was auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in 2005.  The subsequent owner then put more money into it on various items and I believe this was featured either in Hemmings or one of the Mopar mags.  It was for sale for some time at a dealer in Las Vegas.  Here is a YouTube on the car from 2017:

VIN is in registry owner Tom Bezler.  Looks like fire possibly started under hood @ LH carb.  Nothing left in interior but engine/tranny/rams may be OK.  A/C car.  Sad. Condolences.
