Hi John Grady, John Lazenby and Gary Nelson, George was a good friend of Arlys and I, we have been to their home in Twin Falls several times and saw their Turquoise 1958 300D convertible, also their previous home in Stanley, ID where we stayed overnight in their Motel. George has contributed a lot to us 300 Club members with advice and parts. George and Caroline have been to our home in Portland. We will miss him and our very best thoughts go to his family. He helped me so many times (and very fairly ) with C and D convert parts over many years , including a rolling C frame . I bought his unfinished 300D , Indian Turquoise convert a few years back when he found he could not work on it anymore . A super good kind guy . I will miss him .. Sad, Sad. I considered George my friend. He would frequent Reno for “Hot August Nights” when I lived there. We would hook-up as we both had cars entered. I bought him a cold beer more than once. Oddly, It was two days ago I was thinking to send him mail. I recall a conversation with George, I said you are younger than I am, (I was in my mid 60’s), he said I bet not, he said he was in his early 80’s. He did not even look 60. That was over 10 years ago. He would have been in his mid 90’s. He had a long life.
