Re: {Chrysler 300} Daytona Parts Co

Me too, John.  Woodruff rebuilt the AFB for my '66 300 / 440 TNT coupe.  The car has never run better.  They also did a Holley four-barrel carb for my son's '70 Mustang.

As an alternative, I've used Woodruff Carbs to rebuild an AFB for me this year and I was very happy with the results. Carb functions as it should and looks correct cosmetically.  They also test run the carbs before shipping.

i had terrible experience there , but agree were good many years ago .

These are the guys who wrapped shim stock around the throttle shaft in my WCFB several years back —to fill a loose fit on throttle shaft in carb body (!!!) instead of boring for a new shaft bushing .  ( a standard repair ) . the shim was later drawn into throttle bore space next to throttle plate by “ walking “ or vacuum , causing the throttle not to seat square , thus constantly varying idle etc . .. on and the the off car 4 times . Impacted the spark advance too in weird ways by destroying relationship of vacuum port for spark and throttle closed position . That varies idle too . Nice. Did i mention it varied every week or so ? Big symptom of this is the carb does not return to idle set screw always , even with a big spring .

Finally rebuilt it myself , FOUND and removed the shim and put in a bushing .

Very hard to find  intermittent —- directly caused by this half azz rebuild - for 400 $ too . Truly clueless bad thing they did . And I bet done to many others . I am rarely a negative dude , but this raised mayhem for me for 6 months due to stupidity .

the kit to do bushing with reamer and 4 bushings is about 40 $ ( against the 400?) on ebay .

Stay FAR away from this place .

Mike’s carb parts , do it  yourself

It looks like I received incorrect information some time ago
and I'd like to fix that.

Daytona Parts is a carb company and for years offered
kits and rebuild service. I had been told that their rebuild
service was discontinued. This is not the case. For me, I
am delighted to hear this since the carbs they did for me
over past years have been great.
