Re: {Chrysler 300} In need of '60-61 Plymouth quarter panel patches...

Rob,

As others have recommended, buying original sections from rust-free cars is easiest and looks the best. But don't forget to look beyond the model you're restoring for solid metal. Those wheel opening lips are likely the same on a two-door as they are on a four-door, and a four door donor can be a whole lot easier to find - e.g. at Hidden Valley in AZ. Using the four-door quarters and wheel openings, you can easily fab what the two-door needs in front of that. Did it on my '57 C and the result is perfect. Even got my perfect floor pan cut out of a '58 dodge four-door with a camper conversion crammed into it.

So broaden your search and you'll surely find something without holes in it.

All,

Im sure some of you may be into the other Mopar brands, so I figured I'd ask here. I know this is a tall order, but Im looking for both left and right '60 or 61 Plymouth lower quarter patches (around the wheel lip etc...). Im not sure if the Dodges were similar from the same years.  Ive already tried contacting Black Car, and they cant help out at this point.

Thanks again for all the help,

Rob
